Sam grew up in the central west of NSW in a mixed farming area. Sam in his early years worked in shearing sheds, as a lamb marking contractor, a station hand and at various sale yards. Sam also owned a Macadamia farm which he sold in 2000.
Sam started his professional career in foreign exchange with Westpac Bank before moving on to study at UNE where he obtained a Degree in Financial Administration. Sam also has a Diploma of Financial Planning from Deakin University and was a Certified Financial Planner for over 20 years.
Sam has a strong understanding of rural and financial issues.
Sam enjoys travel and clay target shooting.
